Shallow tile-paved salt pans on the Beimen coast. Visitors can watch the salt being dried and raked.

History

Salt farmers from Jiali set up the field in 1818. It was later taken over by the Taiwan Salt Company, and in 1952 it was redesigned with tile-paved pans. Production stopped in 2002 as labour costs rose, and part of it was restored so visitors can see salt dried, raked and collected.
