History
Chen Yonghua built it in 1665 under Zheng Jing, and it became the prefectural school under the Qing, earning the title 'first school of all Taiwan'. During Japanese rule it was used as barracks and a school, and it was restored in 1917 to 1918. It still holds Confucian ceremonies.
