History
The temple's own records date it to 1668, and tradition says its Mazu statue came over with Koxinga's fleet, though scholars disagree. The old temple was demolished around 1918 to 1919 and its statues were shared out among other Anping temples. Residents rebuilt it on a site near the fort, finished in 1966, and brought the statues back.
