In Tainan

Food writer Jiao Tong (焦桐) ranks Tainan first among southern zongzi. Zai Fa Hao (再發號), founded in 1872 and now in its fourth generation, wraps each zongzi in three leaves, two fresh ones outside a boiled one. Its seafood eight-treasure zongzi weighs 14 taels, about half a kilo.
